On FishingBooker, captains are the ones who set the cancellation policy (ranging from 24 hours to deposit non-refundable). If a customer requests to cancel, their request will be processed according to the cancellation policy in effect when they booked their trip.
If you decide to cancel a trip, there may be a penalty depending on the reason for your cancellation.
Your cancellation policy is visible on your charter listing page. To view this information, scroll down to the Policies section. If you're interested in updating your cancellation policy, check out this article.

When you cancel
Given that cancellations disrupt customers' plans, penalties may be applied to your account depending on the reason for your cancellation.
As safety on board is of the utmost priority, cancellations due to bad weather are 100% penalty-free.
Make sure to inform FishingBooker when you experience a mechanical issue. Having to cancel or decline a booking due to a mechanical issue will be 100% penalty free if you are reporting it to FishingBooker after it has happened.
Failing to inform FishingBooker about this issue or update your calendar, and for this reason, cancelling or declining a trip may result in a penalty. This penalty would affect your visibility on the platform and the probability of getting bookings.
