On March 1, 2023, we updated our Terms of Use, including our General Terms, Payment Terms, Privacy Policy, GDPR Privacy Notice, Customer-Specific Terms, Vendor-Specific Terms, and Content Terms.
The updates presented below are effective as of March 1, 2023, for all first-time Users, and the terms will go into effect for existing captains on March 30, 2023.
Here's what's new:
General Terms:
- We added references to FishingBooker Direct – a new service offering Vendors the chance to manage existing customers through FishingBooker
- We clarified our Ranking Disclaimer
Payment Terms:
- We expanded our explanation for Subscription Models, and Commission and Processing Fees
- We clarified that FishingBooker can select an alternative preselected payout method in the event that a Vendor’s default payout method is invalid or incorrect
- We specified that FishingBooker does not charge any tax or fees on top of the total trip price
Privacy Policy and GDPR Privacy Notice:
- We updated our Cookies Policy
- We added Types and Functions of Cookies to our GDPR Privacy Notice
Customer-Specific Terms:
- We expanded and clarified our terms on Insurance and Safety
- We updated the Best Price Guarantee segment
- We expanded our policy concerning complaints
Vendor-Specific Terms:
- We added a section concerning the new Team Members feature
- We added a section concerning situations when a booking is canceled by FishingBooker
- We included information on the Calendar Sync feature
- We updated the Angler's Choice Award terms
Content Terms:
- We updated the terms regarding editing user-generated content
- We expanded on the transfer of rights to user-generated content (reviews, and testimonials), meaning that we are actively protecting reviews generated by our customers from being used on other platforms
The updated Terms apply to all bookings (including existing, confirmed trips) on the FishingBooker Platform from March 1, 2023.
