Saltwater Fishing

When running saltwater fishing trips in Maryland, you need to provide the following documents:

• USCG MMC(we have to see the photo, name of the captain, and reference number of the document)
  • Or Photo ID (if you provide the last page of your MMC)
• Bay and Coastal Charter Boat License and/or Fishing Guide License/Unlimited Tidal Fish License
• Boat Registration Certificate/Certificate of Documentation
• Proof of Liability Insurance 

If you fish in federal waters bordering Maryland's state waters, you do not need a local license, your Federal Fishing Permits will be enough.

Freshwater Fishing

If you are running fishing trips in Maryland freshwater, you'll need the following:

• Photo ID
• Fishing Guide License
• Boat Registration Certificate
• Proof of Liability Insurance
