If your reservation request is declined by the charter operator or expires, meaning the charter operator didn’t respond within 24 hours, no charge is made for the reservation and you’re free to book with another captain.
We urge our charter operators to keep their calendars up to date and respond to requests in a timely manner, still these situations can happen, usually during peak season. The best way to avoid the issue is to book with charter operators who have the Instant Book button on their listing.
If your booking request is declined or expires, we will reach out to you via email to tell you more about why your reservation was declined and provide alternative options.
Your payment method may be temporarily authorized for a charge when you request a reservation, but this authorization is voided and released back to the payment method if your request is declined or expires. We complete a charge only when a reservation request is confirmed.
