Why can't I make a day available?

Sometimes, you may encounter difficulties when attempting to make a specific day available for bookings on your calendar. Here are some reasons why you might encounter this issue, with some solutions to resolve it:

    1. Canceled or declined trip: Your calendar may remain blocked for the date(s) of a canceled reservation, depending on the reason for canceling (e.g., being double-booked, having mechanical issues, bad weather, personal reasons). In such cases, you will not be able to unblock the slot.
    2. Advance Notice:   One common reason for being unable to make a day available is your advance notice setting. If you have specified a minimum advance notice period for bookings, you may be unable to make a day available if it falls within this timeframe. Adjust your advance notice settings to allow bookings on your desired day. Consider whether the current notice period aligns with your business needs and make changes accordingly.
    3. Seasonality: Seasonal variations and settings may affect the availability of certain days for bookings. For example, certain days may have been set up to be available during specific seasons. Review your seasonal availability settings for each trip and adjust them if necessary. Consider seasonal factors that impact your business and tailor your availability accordingly.
    4. The booking window refers to the timeframe within which guests can make reservations. If the day you're trying to make available falls outside your booking window, it may appear blocked. Extend your booking window to include your desired date. By extending your booking window, you allow guests to book further in advance, increasing availability and flexibility.
    5. “Is the Trip Available Every Day of the Week” setting. This allows you to indicate whether each trip is available every day of the week or only on specific days. If you've configured your listing to be available on select days, attempting to make a day available outside of this selection will result in it being blocked. Check your trip settings to ensure that the day you want to make available aligns with your availability settings. Adjust the availability settings as needed to include your desired day.
    6. Synced calendar(s): Events on your external (synced) calendars might block the availability of certain days on your FishingBooker calendar. If this is the reason a day (or trip) is blocked, you will need to go to your other online calendar and make changes to the original event. You will have to either delete the event or make it “free”, “non-blocking” (or similar). After that, go to your FishingBooker calendar, navigate to your imported calendar, and hit the “Resync” button.
